Global rules
- Regular rules: no Google or any external help, moving allowed. 5 minutes per round.
- You must see the goal directly. Finding a sign towards a goal is not enough.
- The goal grid is the same for the 5 rounds. A goal only has to be validated once so there is no need to keep a goal for another round or trying to find a validated goal again.
- Using the guessing map to scout for goals is allowed but you must move to the goal in game to validate it.
Before playing be sure to check the following list so you know what to look for.
To create a custom grid you can follow this guide.
Bonus points for GeoGuessr score
For every additional 5000 points to the global score one bonus point is awarded. Here is a list of the bonus points requirements:
- Score between 0 and 4999 points: no bonus
- Score between 5000 and 9999 points: 1 bonus point
- Score between 10000 and 14999 points: 2 bonus points
- Score between 15000 and 19999 points: 3 bonus points
- Score between 20000 and 24999 points: 4 bonus points
- Scoring 25000 points: 5 bonus points
Example: if you obtain 18652 points, you add 3 points to your score.
If you use the official grid a field allows you to enter your GeoGuessr score and have the bonus calculated automatically.
